Microbiologist (postdoc) for mycobacteria project

Resistell is a fast-growing startup based in Muttenz and Lausanne (Switzerland) developing rapid, phenotypic antibiotic susceptibility test based on monitoring of bacterial nanomotion.

We are looking for a Microbiologist (postdoc) to develop Resistell AST for mycobacteria.

The workplace in Lausanne, in the biosafety level 3 lab at CHUV’s Institute of Microbiology (IMUL). This is an industry-academia collaboration project financed by Innosuisse.

We are looking for a candidate who brings:

  • A Ph.D. degree in microbiology, preferably with focus on mycobacteria
  • Willingness to perform research on Resistell’s nanomotion instrument
  • A record of academic activity
  • Ability and willingness to perform repetitive, yet intellectually demanding work
  • Good communication skills in English and French

The candidate must be willing to work in a team embedded in a clinical environment with a goal-oriented attitude. For this position, it will be essential to comply with clinical regulations. While the duration of this project is limited to one year, the postdoc will have the opportunity to continue the project, depending on performance.
